Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party on Thursday released its manifesto vision for the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh scheduled to take place in 2019.

The Jana Sena chief released the document, which states, "The bitter reality we are faced with today, however, is that various political parties have blown holes into this sacred Preamble. They have distanced people from comprehensive development and progress. They have torn the society apart economically, socially and politically. In the name of caste, creed, region and religion they have created divisiveness and discrimination between the people."

"It is an insult to the democratic process that the enthusiastic ways in which political parties announce their manifestos before every election is conveniently forgotten soon after; and they do not even, for mere obligatory reasons, give them a second glance. There seems to be not even a grain of accountability in any political leader," the document adds.

In the document, Pawan also takes a jibe at the ruling TDP in the state and the BJP government at the Centre.

"The TDP government has completely subverted and sabotaged the Land Acquisition Act of 2013. As a result, they rendered land-owning farmers to landless unemployed. On the same lines, the BJP has backtracked on their promise of offering Special Category Status and backstabbed the people of Andhra Pradesh, after making an express promise before the elections. In what way these actions correspond to the spirit of our constitution?" the document says.

Stating that a more detailed manifesto would be released soon, the Jana Sena party said that their 12-point agenda included 33% political reservations for women in Assemblies and Parliament, free LPG cylinders to housewives and a monthly deposit of Rs. 2,500–3,500 in bank accounts in place of ration.

The party also promised 'opportunity based increase of 5% in reservations to BCs, besides reservation for the Kapu community by way of inclusion in the 9th Schedule, besides a conciliatory solution for SC categorisation'.

In December last year, Andhra Pradesh unanimously passed a legislation to provide 5% reservation for the Kapu community in government jobs and educational institutions.

Meeting a long-pending demand of Kapus, the government had included the community in the backward classes by creating a separate category 'F'.

Earlier this month, the TDP moved a private member bill in the Lok Sabha seeking the Centre's approval to the reservation bill.

Meanwhile, the Jana Sena also promised to create a corporation for forward castes who were economically backward, along with special hostels for the students from such communities.

It also promised the 'Implementation of Sachar Committee Report for Muslims', while adding that it would construct government old age homes for the aged.

In May this year, Pawan Kalyan said that his party would contest all 175 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh during the 2019 polls.

The actor had floated Jana Sena on the eve of 2014 elections, but did not contest the polls and campaigned for BJP-TDP alliance.

He fell out with BJP after the latter failed to fulfill the poll promise to accord special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
