KCR Wants To Implement Jagan's Strategy On Price Rise
The AP Government's determination to rein in prices of essential commodities during the Corona lockdown are being keenly watched by neighbouring Telangana Government. The Andhra Pradesh Government has set up a toll-free number to enable the people to complain in case of fleecing and artificial price rise. It has asked the people to call up 1092 in case any trader charges more than the MRP of essential commodities. The Government will crackdown on these traders and take action against them.
YS Jagan has also designated principal secretary of transport Krishna Babu to monitor the prices in the grocery shops across the state. He has also been asked to ensure that the respective district collectors announce the rates of essential commodities. Any trader demanding more than the announced price would be booked. This will ensure that there is no artificial shortage in the market. A similar situation exists in Telangana too where the prices of the vegetables and other essential commodities are shooting up.
KCR reportedly told his officials to explore the possibility of implementing similar measures in Telangana too to ensure that there is no abnormal price rise. He has reportedly asked his officials to set up similar toll-free number to monitor the situation and act upon the complaints from the public.
