India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant is celebrating his 23rd birthday on Sunday (October 4). The left-hander played a key role in his side Delhi Capitals' 18-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday in what can be termed a perfect present for him from his teammates. Delhi Capitals are on top of the IPL 2020 points table with 3 wins from 4 games so far this season. Pant, who is a vital cog of the Delhi Capitals squad, has been receiving wishes from all corners on his birthday. Several present and former cricketers along with fans have taken to social media to wish the explosive southpaw, who is known for his attacking style of batting. Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also posted a hilarious wish for the left-hander on Twitter. Yuvraj, who keeps displaying his witty side on social media from time to time, came up with a cheeky wish. "Jiska naam hai Pant lekin harkatein hain nikkar Shorts waali wishing you a very Happy Birthday @RishabhPant17 Stay safe and have a successful IPL," Yuvraj wrote on Twitter. Captain Shreyas Iyer top-scored for his side with a magnificent 88 off 38 balls. Prithvi Shaw too continued his fine form with a 41-ball 66. In reply, Kolkata Knight Riders were restricted on 210/8 in 20 overs as they fell short in the run chase despite a valiant effort from Nitish Rana, who scored 58 off 35 balls and two fiery cameos of 18-ball 44 and 16-ball 36 from Eoin Morgan and Rahul Tripathi towards the end respectively. With six points from four games so far this season, Delhi Capitals are on top of the table on the basis of a better net run rate from 2nd-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore.
